Hello, my name is May, and I recently graduated as a doctor of nursing practice, or DNP.  I have been working in the emergency department for the majority of my career as a nurse and nurse practitioner.  Thus, the name of this company, website, and social media presence is a play on words of all of the above: MaydayDNP.

Welcome!  The main goal is to provide resources, practical tips, and open conversation to those practicing in the healthcare field as an advanced practice provider (APP) and anyone else interested! An APP is an all encompassing term for both nurse practitioners (NP) and physician's associates/assistants (PA). Mayday, DNP will be geared towards emergency medicine topics and balancing that life + personal health with shift work.
